Croatian Hydrological and Meteorological Service (DHMZ) is fundamental institution for meteorology and hydrology in Croatia. Short overview of what DHMZ does and what its role is will be given. Main part of talk will be about numerical weather prediction at DHMZ: what model do we use, setup of model, computer resources, operational setup, research activities, work on radar data assimilation. The University of Oklahoma (OU) has produced a "Feasibility Study for the Meteorological and Hydrological Service Modernization Project in the Republic of Croatia"; some of their recommendations will be presented.
